A quick check of my tags shows that the most frequently used card set is the 1991 Crown/Coca-Cola All-Time Orioles set, with 11 posts. That makes sense, as it's a great oddball set that features a whopping 500-plus cards of every player in Orioles history from 1954 through early 1991. The runners-up are 1983 Topps and 2007 Upper Deck, with five each.
Cal Ripken, Jr. is unsurprising as the top featured player, again with eleven appearances. The most surprising high-ranked player is Adam Loewen, who I am now featuring for the fifth time. Pretty heady stuff for an injury-prone failed #1 draft pick who is reinventing himself as a first baseman in the Toronto organization as we speak. But he had an eventful year, with his participation in the Orioles Magic video and his position switch. That's the way my mind works sometimes.
I wonder who will be a recurring character on this blog as 2009 keeps chugging along.

I am pulling for felix pie (for the name alone. mmmmmm pie) or the 'other' adam jones - whom I hope has a 30-30 season for you guys just so the name adam jones can be redeemed.
Adam Jones really could have a breakout year. He trained in Arizona with Brian Roberts and has been mashing the ball this Spring (As of Sunday I believe he was batting .368 with 3 or 4 HR).
Can we make a request for a card? If it's at all possible, I want to see a card featuring that garish all orange mid-70's uniform. It would make my day.
Nice site too.
We can't help it. We like the cityscape cards. Adam Loewen was cityscaped.
SoNSo1 - Glad you like the blog! I don't believe there are any cards depicting the full monty of the orange uni, but there are some cards featuring the orange-paneled cap and jersey. I also have a Jim Palmer card with an orange jersey swatch. I'll try to post one of these soon!
Patricia - I'm a sucker for this card too. I just got it, and it reminds me of my trip to San Diego, and flying back into Baltimore at night and seeing the city in lights. The mid-1990s Leaf card backs are similarly great, with the city and stadium scenes used as background.
