Eddie Murray, 1997 Skybox Metal Universe #5
My scanner doesn't really know what to do with all of this prismatic foil, but you can probably see the most pertinent detail. There is a chunk of space rock that looks poised to strike Eddie Murray square in the ass. 1997 Metal Universe never ceases to confound and amaze me.

I missed out on collecting for most of the 90s. Not sure if I should be happy or sad about it.
Eddie is my favorite player, but it's cards like this that make it so hard to "collect them all."
Bob - The sheer volume of brands and gimmicks was exhausting, from what I understand. I was a big-time collector from 1993-1995, but burned out quickly. The second half of that decade is still a muddle to me, cards-wise.
Rob - There's still comfort in his great 1980s cards.
Do you realize you're 34 posts from 2,500? I still laugh at how, all these years later, you have "Updated Daily?" in the tagline. I think you can remove the question mark and make that a statement, sir!
