Last night Chris Davis doubled his 2014 home run total in one game, hitting home runs in three straight at-bats against three different pitchers. It's been a tough start to the year for Crush, including a two-week stay on the disabled list with an oblique strain, but Tuesday's outburst was very encouraging. It was the second time in Davis' O's career that he's gone deep thrice in a single game;
I was there for the first one back on August 24, 2012. If the slugging first baseman wants something to shoot for, there have only been two Baltimore hitters to have three three-homer games: Boog Powell and Eddie Murray. That would be pretty elite company.
