The camera zoomed in on his eyes between every pitch late in the game. Odell had that "eye of the tiger" look. I really thought he'd get the no-hitter, but settled for a one-hitter and the win.

Shark
Monroe, WisconsinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2534235676864614634.post-71005109347727094232008-03-22T11:00:00.000-04:002008-03-22T11:00:00.000-04:00If I could edit for grammer and spelling, I would....If I could edit for grammer and spelling, I would. Usually those are lefthanders.

Spaeking of Orioles and no-hitters I was at Jarry Park in Montreal watching the Reds and Expos the night Jim Palmer pitched his against the A's. They announced it on the PA and me and my family went nuts (Palmer is a favorite, my son is named for him) and the expo fans asked us what was up.Commishbobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18069472376708715755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2534235676864614634.post-61205532251152556592008-03-20T19:50:00.000-04:002008-03-20T19:50:00.000-04:00The last Orioles no-hitter, the 4 pitcher effort, ...The last Orioles no-hitter, the 4 pitcher effort, was actually in 1991. I was fortunate enough to be in attendance at that game (and still have the ticket stub, of course).

That was an interesting roller-coaster 4 weeks for Orioles fans and players. The Orioles pitched their no-hitter on July 13. Just 2 weeks later, on July 28, former Oriole Dennis Martinez pitched a perfect game for the Expos. Then a short 2 weeks after that, on August 11, Wilson Alvarez no hit the Os.

Tim in NOLAAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
