Eddie Murray, 1982 Donruss #483

I've never understood why some people don't like to celebrate their birthdays. Today is my 33rd, which seems like quite a good number. In the spirit of Eddie Murray, Chris Davis made my birthday all the sweeter with a tenth-inning grand slam to seal a 7-3 win, helping the O's to take a three-game series in Oakland. I'm still not completely sold on the Orioles' chances to make it to the postseason, but we're into August and the games still mean something. I haven't forgotten all of the years when that wasn't the case.

Happy Birthday KB! I have a feeling the O's will deliver a playoff appearance because 2 of the past 3 years you started to get frustrated with them over the summer and they suddenly turned it on. I think it's due to be 3 of 4.

Thanks, all! Zach, I hope you're right. It seems like I've written the O's off three or four times in the past month alone. It's been a hell of a roller coaster.

Whenever my friends or family turn 33, I always say, "It's your Eddie Murray birthday!" They usually have no idea what I'm talking about, but I'm glad you do!
